New Taipei City, 11 August – For many automation sites, utilizing devices with 24VDC power input is favored since automation sites are usually equipped with standard 24VDC power. But it can be tricky when it comes to PoE involvement, conditions with lower power input voltage often lead to decreased maximum output budget. It is possible to damage the PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) or even cause fire hazards when users did not follow the PoE budget instructions properly in the user manuals.

For this reason, Leonton takes the lead to design a new poka-yoke automatic mechanism, “Intelligent PoE”, which is patented by the Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Economy Affairs of Taiwan (TW Pat: I738612), allowing our PoE products to detect the power input voltage first and then determine a safe maximum power output budget automatically. With the patented technology, field operators can install the network without the risks of device damage or worse scenarios due to inappropriate installation procedures.
